generally how long does it take for 1 page to upload?

ive tried it like 10 times it says please wait while website is sent to my website then after setting there making no progress it pops up n says an error has occured while uploading.... is there a way to turn the NVU into a big ass html file?

Have you tried uploading in Passive Mode?
Didn't the hosting account give you the FTP info it needs - for example; my host doesn't require public_html to be typed in the ftp set-up. I leave that box blank. They should have an example somewhere of how your information needs to be entered. Do you have an account file? That should have all your info in it. Found this online:

How'd the passive thing go? did that work?

If not then we need to know what the error message is to be more helpful. Also, I've no idea on how long it takes as I don't actually use the VSD program, but I'm sure it's not a huge amount of time unless it's a huge site. I don't recall if VSD uploads the full site or just the changes so I'm not much help on the VSD issues themselves.

Let us know how the passive thing works, and I'm sorry my answers are in spurts here and there as I'm on vacation and subject to a good connection or any connection at all on my little notebook lol. I do wish you luck with it though

I don't know about timing for a large site, but everyone that I've done (less than 15 pages, all with photo galleries, forms and other graphics) upload in just a few seconds. If you click upload, it just does your changed/new files. Re-synch will upload the entire site.
