Can CoffeeCup Be Used to Tweak Bought...

I'm thinking of buying a pre-done website template off theme forest or somewhere else.

Would I be able to tweak and adjust the theme from the coffee cup editor - what I mean is, is it like a cut down version of dreamweaver?

Many thanks, John

haha you stoopid noobie! LOL

Just kidding of course, and you're quite welcome and take some time to check out the trial versions of the software so you can choose what you want more efficiently without a huge amount of pressure. CoffeeCup does a lot of great easy to use software so I'm sure you'll find it useful and fun. And of course we're all here in case you need some help. We've all been in your shoes, in my case a couple times over I'm sure haha. Welcome! :)

It is indeed a nice group, John. Just allow yourself to gloss over shortcomings in grammar, punctuation, syntax, diction, agreement in gender / number / case, meter, metaphor, simile, plot, characterization, style and setting, and you will be fine.

But seriously, not only can you purchase site themes, but also you can grab working sites from the Web to examine and "borrow" any amount of their HTML, CSS and Javascript. Several tools to help you do that packaged as plug-ins / add-ons for popular browsers. For instance, see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/web-development/.

To get you started: Suppose you have opened a site in an Internet Explorer window. Place the mouse pointer anywhere in the page and right-click. Pick 'View Source' from the menu to view the page source code. It seems overwhelming at first, but with practice you will be able to understand it and find useful things within it.

Exploration is fun. Go for it! Just give credit where due.

As for the CoffeeCup HTML Editor vs. Dreamweaver, I think of the former as much like the latter, minus needless complication. No doubt longstanding Dreamweaver users would disagree, but they would also be several hundred dollars poorer for their opinion.

My that is the first time I saw all my misdemeanour's all stated at once since my English teacher wrote my end of term report. Made me feel quite nostalgic.

Take me John. Was a time I couldn't even spell programmer now I are one. I am what is referred to as a Suburban Cockney, as such our version of English varies slightly from that used by royalty. As such it can have a much richer flavour seldom sticking to the rules.

Seriously John you have landed in the best forum on the planet, not only will we help you get your site to look good we have the best Grammar and Spell checker you could ask for here.

Just found this site and forum.
It has a good feel to it.
I am no programer and like the software.
A question ?
I would like to design mobile websites for my clients
How big or what size should I start off with?
Hope I make sense.
Thanks
Rod.
