adding slideshow to VSD - Post ID 150679

I am previewing the Photo Gallery software. And am trying to put a slideshow that I created and saved to my VSD website page. My website has not been published yet so I cannot "upload" the slideshow.

The slideshow looks great on the preview in Photo Gallery.

I have used the "flash" tool, according to the VSD help document, and added the slideshow that I saved to a page. There is a box that says preview to show this image. When I preview, I see the outline of a box, but no slideshow.

I am brand new at this, so forgive my ignorance. I have been using a beta version of VSD7 for about a month, and have almost finished my site. It looks great on preview, but I decided it might be nice to add a slideshow.

Any advice?
Thanks,
Camilla

Have you purchased VSD 7.0 or a previouse version? The beta testing is done and the lastest version just got released yesterday. If your a registered user of VSD go get the latest update by clicking "support" on the top navigation menu of this page then clicking "your downloads":).
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Camilla,

Here's what I've done to insert a gallerie/slide-show in VSD:

After creating the slide-show, save as with an appropriate name and put it with your web site files. This will be your .xml file. Copy the html code snippet. Now go to the page in your VSD site. Choose the Flash tool and click on your page. You'll be prompted to browse for your .xml file. After you do that, click the Object properties icon, choose edit html and paste your code snippet in the html (body) box.

That should do it. If it still doesn't show up, I'd check to see if the images are uploaded. Go to Edit > Remove Files (don't remove any!), just scroll through the files listed to see if all your images are there.
