I want to make several drop down menu to let customers to first pick by brand, year, color and link them to a product page with the right items shown. Is it possible with CC?
Hiya Babyruth,
Unless you code your own menu to add to maybe the Header or something (not even sure it can be done) then the answer would be no. The menu is not editable other than renaming the pages you create or renaming the Shop Home page. You cannot add or remove items from the main menu of the shop.
I would also make sure you realize that if you duplicate products to multiple categories that it will skew the inventory function of the program. Basically it will treat any duplicated products as totally separate entities so whatever inventory amount you have you will want to split that inventory amount up between the number of products you are duplicating so the amount totals to your total inventory on hand.
Other than that, that's about all you can do, see if you can create a CSS menu and add it to the program via the Header script or the HTML tool.
You can get an idea of how I worked around this on the shop I just handed over to the client. The shop isn't finished so bare that in mind as he's adding the products and shipping etc. himself, but the main setup of the shop is there.
If you note you'll see a small menu on just the home page of the shop on the left. That menu was added in via the HTML tool. I also added an extra page called More Categories which you'll see on that menu as well as in the dropdown menu under the Home button that basically does search terms for each of the different ways of looking for products. Maybe that will help you come up with similar ideas.

Hope that helps, and here's hoping that CC gives us a lot more versatility in listing our products in the future
