Hi. I'm an HTML know-nothing and have been tasked with creating a website for the poor nonprofit I'm working for. I like Visual Design, but some of the additional Coffee Cup programs I would like to use specify Windows 7 32 bit. My system is 64. Is that going to be a problem? If I understand it correctly, I can load what we buy onto three computers. Is that correct? If so, one computer uses XP, one uses Vista and mine uses Windows 7. Is that going to be a problem?

Thanks so much for the help.

Mary this should not be a problem. Just remember to set the properties of the shortcut for the programs to run as administrator and run under xp service pack 3.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Okay. Thanks. If we decide not to use the xp machine, should I set the shortcuts to run on vista? Also, if I'm using the site designer, will the other coffee cup programs, like the calendar, the website fonts, etc., work with the site designer or do I have to use the HTML editor to be able to use those? Am I correct in understanding that the FTP stuff is already in site designer, so I don't need the other FTP program? Also, if I did get the other FTP program, would we be able to edit the site from the server using the site designer or would I be stuck learning code to be able to do that (something that intimidates me). I'm especially concerned that my supervisor, who knows even less than me about this stuff, will need to be able to update the calendar. It would be nice if she was able to update the calendar without jumping a bunch of hoops.

Sorry for all the questions. I appreciate your help.

On the xp machine you might not have to do anything with the short cut. On vista set it to run as administrator and run under xp sevice pack 3. VSD is the way to go if you don't want to learn code. You will more then likely find a need to insert some code into your page but thats easy to handle in VSD with the HTML tool. CC has made VSD compatible with all their other software and help isn't far away. You won't need another FTP program since VSD has it all covered. Get the trail version and start playing around with it You'll have 30 days so what will it hurt to kick the tires a few times. As for the calendar files, you'll be able to ftp those through VSD if the files change.

Are all your computers networked?
