There documentation isn't very clear. Supposedly, you can create a 'Project', which is portable to other computers. Also, they show their easy to use dashboard: Gallery Properties, with options for 'general', 'image' and 'publish'. But they don't say you only get one go at it. So if you misspell a title, you'd have to delete the entire slider and do the whole thing over again? :o WOW slider is a no-go for me.
Jalbum is more for photo albums, but I did find this one responsive slider (works with or without thumbnails):

I hope CC will come up with their own full-featured (text, html, video, photos), responsive slideshow/gallery creator some time SOON. :D

There's a lot of scripts available free. It all depends on your needs. There's several that use mysql and a few that use a folder. The biggest hurdle is getting the user to upload and deleting images in the proper directory.

Hey PB, if you wanted couldnt your client just publish the wowslider page itself. I mean there would be no formatting but it would publish the gallery to its own page.

I just set the ftp settings in wow slider and published this

If you set it up for your client they would be able to make any changes to the slider they want and just publish. You could make a link on their site that says photos or whatever and link it to the folder that you published your slider too. You could make it pop up in a new page and customize the size of the window so it opens with just the gallery popping up.

Just a thought and it would be extremely easy to set up.

You could also do that, then include it in any page using an iframe . . .

Steve, what you show above is what lead me to believe the client would have this available on his computer to go back to whenever an edit was needed. But, if I understood everyone above, it seems this is only available when you first create the slider – that there's no way to access this for further edits.

Eric, you (and others) helped me get a PHP/MySQL gallery up and running. It had an easy to use dashboard for the client, unfortunately, the drag/drop to arrange photos feature wouldn't work. So $49 down the drain on that one. :P

Anyway, it needs to function as a banner on the home page between the header and the main content.
Here's how it works in Jalbum...
-I create the slider, set the FTP info and install it on the home page (setting the size, position, margins, etc.). No Iframes needed.
-I install the Jalbum software on the client's computer.
-Client goes to a visual, drag-drop interface to add/delete photos.
-Saves and clicks publish.
-Slider on website is updated, no need for client to ever go to the actual webpage or touch any code.

I'm about to start telling clients – if you want to do it yourself, learn HTML, CSS, JS, PHP.... and DO IT YOURSELF

You hit the hammer on the head with that comment lol... You dont know how many times I have been asked. What I started saying was "Sure you can do it yourself, but if you mess it up or ask for my help I will invoice you at $65 an hour min one hour." ... lol :D:D:D

That usually discourages them.

Oh and by the way I have changed the pictures and republished with no code. I even tried changing the theme and it worked like a charm. I think if you do this along with what gunsmoke mentioned by throwing in an iframe, they will be able to do this no problem.

So they can go back to that initial set up and make changes without having to create a new slider?
Would the original FTP info be saved?

At my local mechanic he has a sign for labor rates that states:

-$50 per hour if you bring it in when the noise starts.
-$75 per hour if it is after a week of hearing the noise.
-$100 per hour is it is after a month of hearing the noise.
-$500 per hour if you tried to fix it yourself first.

I always laugh when I see that sign. :P

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
