No problem, not only is that a great deal, but there really nice templates too.

To use as a website in your dashboard you can uncheck replies. That way you can just add information and no one will be able to reply.

Well I actually didn't do that because both WP sites I did were for publications, so I actually wanted people to be able to comment on the articles.

Jo Ann http://proudayou.com/ looks good, but on my screen everything (photos and text) was a little too big. I'd reduce the size of all the elements on the page. My screen resolution is set to 1366x768

Yes, the only problem with this is that the legal jargon is vague. You will see the exact same language on every template site out there and yet every template site knows that if you sign up for a membership, you are developing websites, why else would you need 100 templates.

It doesn't appear vague to me at all. As a matter of fact, it's very clear.

Right, but the way I have had this explained to me is that this means one cannot simply resell the template, even after it is redeisgned. So, the reason I called it vague (even though it appears clear) is that one could interpret the "personal use" in the context of reselling and not web developing.

No explanation required. It is right there.

It's for personal use only. You may not redistribute or resale of any kind, even after modifications have been made.

I've switched to Wordpress for all my new client Web sites, for the reasons Chad stated, and also so that my clients (and whomever they designate) can update and maintain their own sites. It's no big deal for me if they don't want to update the sites themselves, since I can just charge for the maintenance, but I like the idea of "future-proofing" the sites I do, with each one a CMS by default. Plus, I can direct clients to books and online resources that help them master the basics of WP - it's great building a site in a system that's so widely used and supported.

As a CMS, WP is powerful, easy to use, highly customizable, and incredibly extensible (i.e. through all those great plugins, most of which are free). I've been using Coffeecup HTML editor to help me edit and manage themes, though I'd love to see some specialized CC Wordpress tools.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
