I have a nice CCR/Fogerty collection. Mainly because my wife likes them even more than I do. And that's saying a lot.

Lots of new (hundreds) additions. To name a few:

Creedence Clearwater Revival
Monkees
Hermans Hermits
Pretty Things (do you know/remember them?)

Have fun at http://sixties.johnvanhulst.com

Next addition: David Bowie. David Bowie? Why? He's not from the sixties! So a surprise ....

I changed the lay-out, added a 'news' section and a 'refresh page' button (to refresh the random selection) . And included a 1973 David Bowie album: 'Pin-Ups'. 1973? Why? Read the 'news' on http://sixties.johnvanhulst.com . Next thing I'm going to do is to add a guestbook, so listeners can suggest music on the site itself. Hey Chuck, there's a new Moody Blues song too!

I added some 80 songs from a CD collection I forgot I owned it... Most of these songs are from the early sixties. Like Skeeter Davis: 'The End Of The World', and Lesley Gore: 'It's My Party'. Do you remember these?
Next: Dave Edmunds (a one man band) and The Association. I'm waiting for the CD's to arrive...

Ah, the music of the sixties. I love the Motown sound. There's nothing better than to kick back and listen to the songs from that era.

Hi Inger,

Living doll was one of the first 45 singles I owned. It's a great single. Not the first one I owned though (I think I'm older than you are), my musical investigation started at the end of the fifties, with 75 rpm shellac records and Pat Boone. Love Letters in the Sand. Later on I played in a sixties cover band www.deadrabbits.nl to compensate....

Wanna bet on that age thing? :D I can also remember various hits by Pat Boone from the fifties: Bernardine, Tutti Frutti, Remember you're mine, April love, Long tall Sally, Don't forbid me... Just to mention some.
Ha en riktig god dag!

And for you Berkeley hippies from the sixties out there, all is not lost. Have you noticed that the hippie style has come full circle. So break out those tie-dye shirts and peace signs you crazies, you. ;)

There is only one thing better than the 60's (well actually there are like 70 things better) and that is the 80's. Has anyone ever wondered why acting was good in the 40's to 60's but took a sharp decline in the 70's and especially the 80's. Is there one good movie from the 80's other than footloose?

:D
