website being blocked by Norton...
Hi there. Some of my customers are experiencing issues opening my website, (and I am too) and I think it has to do with Norton's Identity Protection add-on. Does anyone know if there is anything specific that might trigger this? apparently Norton doesn't, at least it looks like an un-annswered isssue on their forums. I used VSD to design my sites and thought maybe some offensive (to norton) snippet might have gotten in there somehow. My site is http://kenscorner.coffeecup.com and http://www.kwcinc.com. seems to only happen when Norton addons are enabled and only on the home page and the gallery pages (flash and pictures). IE 9 willl try to reload twice, then crash. Safari will pop up a warning, and if the warning is closed by the X, it will crash the norton add-on and open the site. Thanks, Ken
Both links are working fine for me in the most recent releases of Firefox and IE9, no errors, hitches or problems at all. I went through all the menu items and nothing crashed. Try clearing your browser caches and see if that helps at all.
Here both Ffx and IE crashed when clicking on the two links. Safari opened them both without problems. I'm running Win Vista and use Norton as my AV prog.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Thank you both for your replies. I just tried it again, and the site is opening fine, except the flash objects aren't loading in IE9. Loading fine in Safari and Ffx. I've had the issue with IE loading flash on other websites in the past, but not on my website before. But at least the page is opening without an error popup and crash. I did notice that Norton did a major update today so I hope that this was the one issue and it is fixed, or at least in the works. Ken
Two things, IE and Norton. They both have issues the developers fail to address. I use Chrome and Avast. I do test in other browsers. Your sites both performed well.

Thanks Prism. I see what you mean. I tried to keep my site as simple as possible without being totally bland, but still have issues
Just a follow up here. When the website started working again on my other computers and not my laptop, I went back into the add-ins on my computer and noticed I had also disabled the Shockwave Flash while troubleshooting this. Enabled it again and all is good now! Thanks everyone for your suggestions! BTW, Now I also know how to check what the website looks like if someone doesn't have Flash loaded. Ken
Glad you got it all worked out Kenny, good luck with it all
