Hi All

I'm Vince and new to the forum.

I am designing a website with VSD and a related shopping cart with Shopping Cart Creater.

The Website from VSD is a front end home page (plus many other pages) for the catalog store being designed with Shooping Cart Creator.

Question:

I would like it all to look and feel like on site. I know I can point lks to the shopping cart from my website but can the website and the shopping cart share the same domain name i.e.
www.samplewebsite.com website
www.samplewebsite.com/store/ shopping cart

Or must there be 2 independent domian names i.e
www.samplewebsite.com website
www.samplewebsitestore.com shopping cart

Thanks a lot

Vince

www.samplewebsite/store/ will work just fine, and if you toss in cart designer you can make the store look just like your site :) no need for a second domain name.

I would suggest the Shopping Cart Designer Pro when you're trying to make your shop and external site look the same as it has a lot more functions and settings than the Basic version does. Costs a bit more, but it's most definitely worth it. I have used this method for my shop and it works pretty slick. Good luck on it Vince and welcome to the forums and to the CC family of software :)

Thanks everyone. Sorry for my delay a couple of crazydays.

Yes I do have Shopping Cart Designer Pro so I was able to use the same color scheme and use the same header image and it looks great.
I don't know what else I could do to sync the website with the shopping cart.

Thanks again

Try to get tall those little details that you see on your site, incorporated in the store
the vast majority of the people won't even notice if you do it right.
Can you provide us a link to the site / shop ? so i can point out what details you should include
sometimes little details makes the difference !!!

Some of those details would be: header, footer, font, font-size, background, content background, lineage, element placement.

That should get you started.
