VSD Frame Tool behavior - Post ID 192569

When using the Frame Tool in VSD the borders do not maintain a constant width. Opposite edges are equal but not adjacent edges. The only way to have width of all 4 sides to be equal is to have a perfect square. Is there something I'm missing? Why can't I create a rectangle with equal width borders?

Thanks,

Yes I have found that but. There is always a way. If I want a equal border frame I create two rectangles one inside another and colour as needed. The ability in Objects to get round edges is a bonus.
It would be nice if there was a lock option but by grouping the result you are good to go.

Each time I throw something at VSD it has the bones to comply. It is an absolutely amazing program. The more I play with it the more features I find and a lot are not even specified but lie beneath, it is how it is designed. It has become my most favourite program.
To think I thought it a kids program when I first tried it. How wrong I was. It is within an ace of bettering its closest rival >> The Editor

As prism says, a box in a box is equal sides and it converts automatically into one image, infact i tend to do precicely that, then preview, then save as and name it you can then reduce the image quality and save on display speed.

Or put the picture ontop, preview, save as name it and your image is now permanently framed.

The frame tool is great for outlining buttons, and making a strip of buttons horizontally, see link , its how i did this for Greg :: http://aspire.riverchess.co.uk/

I've been using the box in box method. It works fine but can be tedious when fine tuning placement. Ctrl-Z is my friend.

I didn't think of inserting HTML. Nice trick I'll keep in mind.

Thanks All,

Good one Eric that is what I call getting down and dirty with your hands in the mix. What Viv can do with VSD to me is pretty amazing. I learn a lot from you two. Thanks
