I agree with Jo Ann

*clears his throat* :D
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

don't get me wrong, i like where i'm at, but if i can't get their help when i need it, then i don't want to be there. also, my partner in this has gotten us on page 1 of the searches with where we are. but still, i want a place that is going to help me with the problems that i have.

another question for anyone that can answer is this:

when i use the trial versions of CC products, and i put something from one of them on one of my pages, does that disappear once the trial period of the software is up, or does it stay usable?

Wow that's crazy money there. You can usually get hosting at a billion different places for like less than $10 a month, many times around $5 a month. Top that off with Shopping Cart Creator for $50 and Shopping Cart Designer Pro for $90 that's less than 5 months of hosting with your company and you can now use your shop at any host you want to instead of having to figure out how to back it all up and restore it to other hosts (which is really a pain in my arse when I used to do that lol).

For $140 you have the programs for life and updates for life as well as great support here. For $100 a year (give or take a bit) you have hosting at any number of normal hosting companies that actually have great support (Eric btw is a very helpful person and I don't think he'll ever leave his customers sitting in the lurch like you're sitting now if you decided to go with his service, and most likely the same for others too). So for around $240 you have all the software you need and a year's service. That's less than 5 months of service where you're at now, and you don't have the software there to just take you elsewhere.

Nowww...... take that $240 and subtract $140 of it for the software that you no longer have to pay a yearly fee for. That brings you down to approx. $100 a year versus the $600 a year you're paying now!

AND with the Pro version coming out (which they have said they will have special discounted prices for those of us that already own the Basic Cart and any version of the Designer) there will be some real power in the shops coming from CoffeeCup's Shopping Cart Creator Pro.

I'm for getting out of that place, how bout you?

I don't "think" your status of rank should be affected too badly by moving to another server if that has you worried. Your rank is based on your site itself not it's location. You may need to do some adjusting of your sitemap and maybe a few things that someone here can help to alleviate for you to account for the differences from your Shopping Cart system, but it shouldn't be all too bad I wouldn't think.

When you use the trial software you don't typically lose the work you did, but you won't be able to update it using that program anymore is all. If it's something like the HTML Editor (which I highly recommend) it creates basic HTML sites and those are editable using any text editor so that is fine there. The other programs that use Flash will be a bit more difficult if you ever need to make any changes to it though. What you receive from it shouldn't be affected by the expiration of the trials though. Of course there is no support for it afterwards if you need help with your Trial code that you don't have trial versions working for :P

my other half is asking the following questions:

Will our status on page one of the search engines change if we move the site?
Can we keep the address that it is at, squeakeyeaglephotos.net as i made that site name?
Can we get the help with editing the site that we need?
Will there be a problem with transferring our site over to a new host?
How easy will it be to transfer it?
Will we have to change our site address?
Will we be able to get all 1000+ photos that are on the site (there are 3-4 different sizes to each picture) put into the new host?
What are the limitations as to size, amt of space, etc.?

Please help, cuz I am really getting tired of him nagging me about not getting customers paying for our items, but getting them to the cart and then leaving. And I'm really getting tired of the constant nagging of how long ago we could have had the site up (over a year ago we started this project), and the problem of me not knowing the PHP "BS" to update everything.

Please please please help

Another thing that he would like to know is, are the numbers that we are getting for our cart, due to the web spiders? or is that actually people putting an item in the cart, but then not checking out? we have over 200 supposed cart items, but NO actual buys...any suggestions?
