Hi all, So back in 1998 I used CC for HTML editing and now I am considering using it again. I had a 3rd party build my site and now I want to tweak / modify it. I have a mysql database involved with my file server, So do CC load the DB into the editor?? Do I need a second software. I know a lot has changed that is why I am here.

I guess your DB is located on your server. It does not get loaded into any CC app, but you need to have your web builder 'speak' to it. This can be done with a bit of PHP.

Hello Inger, So I need to run CC app on the server? or does it create a tunnel. Please treat me as a Newbie, cause I am, at-least to this. Better Idea, is there any tuts on this? so I am not wasting anyone time. I watch a few different CC web designing vid on U-tube but they did not answer my question. thanks

If your altering an existing site, it sounds like you need the HTML Editor. Even if you decide to redo the site with Site Designer the HTML Editor is a great tool for working with and testing php code before adding it to a Site Designer page.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hey! It's cool that you're revisiting old tools like CC for HTML editing. As for loading the DB into the editor, it depends on the capabilities of CC. You might need a separate software for database management, but there are plenty of user-friendly options out there.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
