Can anyone tell me why this works in IE, but not Firefox? You can see at http://darkwater.us

<OBJECT id="VIDEO" width="320" height="240" style="position:absolute; left:0;top:0;" CLASSID="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" type="application/x-oleobject">
<PARAM NAME="URL" VALUE="http://68.46.96.77:8000">
<PARAM NAME="SendPlayStateChangeEvents" VALUE="True">
<PARAM NAME="AutoStart" VALUE="True">
<PARAM name="uiMode" value="full">
<PARAM name="enabled" value="true">
<PARAM name="PlayCount" value="9999">
</OBJECT>

Thanks for any help!

It seems to me that this is not about video but sound. And the problem, I think, is that there is no actual file name in the source url.

Which programme have you used to create the code?

I don't use video/audio much, so I'm a bit on thin ice here, but I'm sure someone will chime in before long. :)

Leo,

I see you made some changes and got it to work. It works fine now in IE10, Firefox, Chrome and Opera.

The original player did not work in Chrome either (in addition to Firefox as you mentioned), but worked in IE10 here...

When I tried various things before answerring you above, I got as far as having that player to display, but no sound. I guess it's your changed code that makes the difference.
