Funny question which I am hoping someone may be able to help me with :)

I am just wondering does anyone know the exact code or the way that websites show on a mobile phone as a full website as if viewing on a laptop or desktop?

I'm not a fan of the 'mobi' sites. I prefer the full website to show, where it sizes to the width of the device.

A perfect example is the coffeecup website. It shows as the full website on my android phone. I can then zoom in etc as I please. I am trying to do it for my own website which I am currently designing.

Any help or guidance is much appreciated :)

Marky, I guess I don't understand because I can zoom in on any site whether it was created with the html editor or VSD. I just got an Iphone and am coming from a Palm Pre. They both render sites the same no matter what was used to design them. There's been a few users asking for a mobile site creator from CC but with smart phones being sold faster then they can make them I don't see the need. Can you provide an example of a site that doesn't behave well on a smart phone?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I'll be glad to check your site on my Nook Color too if that would help. I too don't really use mobi sites and I actually set my Nook Color to use the regular site setup instead of the mobi versions so I don't even see the mobi's anymore. Most sites render just fine on my device, haven't had very many at all that didn't.

Marky, maybe 'responsive design' is what you're after:

Google it to find many more articles and tutorials. :)

Thanks for the replies guys, and apologies for the delayed response. I've been away :)

If you guys could check my site on a smart phone, that would be great. Any help and advice is much appreciated.... I'm finally giving this web design business a go and trying to set up for myself, but I want to learn a bit more before setting off!

I can see the banner images aren't transitioning correctly in firefox mobile, but is fine in others (Eric, I'm using your javascript for image transitions - Thanks :) )

But in a mobile browser, the bottom of my website, and the right hand side show an extra bit of blue background. Any ideas on how to fix it? I assume it's to do with positioning or width??

My page is on my test URL: http://www.marcusoneill.com

I only have the index page posted up so the site links won't work.....Thanks folks

Thanks Eric and thanks for the link :D

Can you see the small background area which shows on the right side of the footer (which I thought would stretch the full size of screen (no matter what device??). I'll have to check my code :/
