TC, you might try this little download script...
http://www.stadtaus.com/en/php_scripts/download_center_lite/

I use this script on my web site and it works just fine. Takes a little setup, but the documentation is good. Check out how it works here... http://gunsmoke.me/downloads.htm

Thanks, Jo Ann,

I was actually looking for a method to force the SAVE FILE AS to come up on a link to download the .mp3 file which is also embedded in the javascript player. From what I've read, the only way to do it is to use PHP to force a mimefiletype call that executes outside of the webpage, which seems to be too much of a hastle. So --- for now I guess I'll leave it as is until a different solution can be easily implemented.

Thanks again,

Thanks, Gunsmoke,

I've downloaded the .zip files and will have to go through them along with the way you've implemented the scripts. I'm sure it's simple... but I've got to review it to be sure I know what I'm doing.

The only thing that I see as a restriction is that it looks like all of your download files have to be in one directory. Mine currently aren't. (oops)

Thank you again for your suggestions. If I can figure it all out, this will likely do the trick! :)

TC, I took a quick look at the documentation for the script I sugested and it looks like it should do the trick for you. Two things, it says you upload the script files to your server using an FTP program. Should be no problem. Then simply duplicate the index.php file for each .mp3 file you want to download. You can modify it to show the path to the .mp3 This will let you download from multiple locations using just the one installation of the core script. Second, the download file your clients will get will have a 'tag' on it from the author since the script is free. For a small one-time fee you can remove the tag. Either way I think this should work for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the share Gunsmoke, that's a pretty nice little script setup, gonna try it myself and see how it works as I've never heard of it, but then I don't scour for every little thing either lol. Appreciated :)

The web does seem to be an unending source of information, entertainment and peril. Seperating the three is the trick...

Thanks, Gunsmoke. I got it working, but haven't set up the index, yet, as suggested. I set it up on a demo page to play with. I saw the ' tag ' that you can pay to remove... but they won't remove it entirely as they lock it to one domain name (which I really don't want to do).

One step at a time... !!! :)

Thanks again,
