I am trying to install and test a "tweet" button on my site.

Whenever I insert the code shown below, the CoffeeCup Editor crashes. Remove that one line of code, and all works well again.

<a href="https://twitter.com/share" class="twitter-share-button" data-via="xxxxx" data-size="large" data-lang="en" data-count="none">Tweet</a>

The code is right from the Twitter site, and my entire page validates with W3C with o without this code.

help is appreciated.

Hiya William,

What version of the HTML Editor are you using? Also a link to your site would be helpful so people can compare what's there with what you're trying to do to make sure some other conflict isn't causing a problem.

Other than that, I would also suggest opening a support topic with CC to get assistance from the CC Team as this sounds like it may need their help.

Knowing what version of the HTML Editor would help though to know if maybe you're on an old version that has been fixed or if this is in the current version so they know if something needs to still be looked at in the software.

Good luck on it either way :)

I have updated to the newest version. It is very strange as I am sure many other users here have a tweet button installed.

yeah I would definitely open a support ticket so that the CC Team can look more closely at your code and see what's wrong then.

I copied and pasted your twitter code into a couple of different test pages and then did previews. Nothing "crashed" and the word "Tweet" was displayed as expected.
What do you mean by: "Whenever I insert the code shown below, the CoffeeCup Editor crashes." ?
- What does the program actually DO to make you say it "crashes"?
- When does it "crash": - when you click 'paste'? - when you save the file? - when you preview?
- Where do you insert the code?
- Where did you get the code from (link)?

No problem here either. I have pasted, previewed, saved and clicked, all goes well.

William,

Can we have a link to your site? It may not be the code that is causing the issue. It may be where it is being placed, or something else on the page interfering with it.
