Hi,
I am trying out the web form buider. After some playing I have it working, however it is not doing something I thought that it would.

I created a drop down menu for members of my family (this is a contact form) so the visitor may select which member the message is for. I have included their name and email address in the menu (Brian:brian@mydomain.com). The email comes to the email I specified in the configuration, but I want it to go to the email of the person that was chosen from the drop down menu. Is this possible?, if so, how?

Thanks

You'll need to modify the backend script file; assuming you're using PHP, the file is coffeeform.php.

Did you change the "Contact List" option to Yes?
I'll have to try this out myself as I haven't yet had the need for a multi-email form, but it's supposed to be able to do this w/o any tweaking of your own. :|

There's an older thread discussing the same topic, but it closed before being resolved:

Ok, I just made a quick form test and it did indeed email to the address I had in my dropdown and it ignored the email address given in the Form Settings -> Form Results tab

I have used this option on a couple of sites...and I know it works because "webmaster" got an e-mail a bit ago :). You do need to select "Yes" for Contact Form and then configure the email addresses where it says "Configure Menu Items". Hope this helps :)

Just a question to Melanie You have stated that you only use HTML for commercial sites but do you use form builder or plain html form action pointing to a CGI script.

I understand the need to have the code modifiable but what about the form. It would fall in the same catergory as VSD

See I do read the posts :)

Dave,

Did you select the ASP option for your form?
