I'm trying to make the S-Drive decision and find that CoffeeCup help and advertising information is set above my head, leaving me with questions that I can't answer from the Website:

1. What is Dashboard?

2. If S-Drive does not have email capacity, it is unclear to me what might be the advantages of signing up for it.

Generally, I have found CoffeeCups support information is thorough and understandable, but now I am feeling baffled.

1. The Dashboard is your S-Drive control panel. This is where you access all your settings, files all related to S-Drive.

2. We do not handle anything in regards to e-mail. We prefer the experts over at Gmail or similar services to handle that. ;)

This brings me to the question:

Having a Google Apps account ($50/yr) allows you to have a Gmail Account that is branded with your domain (ie - a Gmail account that is user@domain-name.com)

This works well - I've used it for a year. I just had to drop a file or two into my hosted web space to make it work. Is it possible to do the same through an S-Drive hosted full domain ? By full domain I mean the one that is $15/yr through Coffee-Cup/Network Solutions partnership.

We do not handle anything in regards to email. Google Apps also has a free plan as well, so you can save yourself $50 a year.

Do I understand from this that if I register a domain name under S-Drive, I can have a full set, say 20, of free email accounts at Gmail @the-very-same-domain-name?

Scott its Viv Jewelcraft using trevors account as an example

Website in signature is on s drive Cname records changed to mydomain.coffeecup.com
Url is with domainmonster.com and the domain name chauffeurdrivenluxurycars.co.uk has redirects set so emails are sent to trevors gmail account

(ie) trevor@chauffeurdrivenluxurycars.co.uk and as many as you like gets sent to gmail for him to answer

BUT and its a big BUT I do not actually have access to the email address in domainmonster, ONLY redirected emails so all replies from trevor have to be an alias which I personally do not like (because the Cname is redirected)(changed)

So instead trevor is using his Gmail account only so all addresses on his website are trevor@gmail.com or enquiries@gmail.com or weddingcars@gmail.com so on and so forth (which is what scott is suggesting I think)

ALTERNATIVELY set up for instance trevor@chauffeurdrivenluxurycars.me.uk or similar extension (as a gmail account) and use that for your emails so it matches in Which I prefer and its free

I do not want to use @gmail.com email addresses on my nkmsdrive.com webpage, I want to use @nkmsdrive.com email addresses and I want to be able to send messages and reply to messages from these @nkmsdrive.com addresses. Can I do that from one or more free Gmail accounts?

If @nkmsdrive.com is on Sdrive, I think the answer is NO but Scott hopefully will confirm that you can have an alias on gmail.com that looks to all intense as though it is @nkmsdrive.com

However my suggestion would be to have @nkmsdrive.info on gmail and use that for all email addresses so it not only matches your site perfectly, but also does NOT require using an alias

Scott if i am wrong please let us know

I just checked nkmsdrive.com is available, so if you buy it through gmail problem solved :P

But if I buy it through Gmail I will not be able to buy it through S-drive, or may be I don't have to buy it through CC/S-drive to connect it to my S-drive account?

Yes, you can and it will work just fine with the free service they offer.
