What happens to existing email addresses set up with a web hosting account when you cancel the account and switch the site to S-Drive (with the same domain name as the original site)?
Is it possible to keep those addresses?

You should be able to change your account with your old host to just an e-mail account.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

That's good (I'm with Yahoo). I have a client site that's hosted by an individual (don't know if he has his own server or is a re-seller), so hopefully it will be easy to get the info out of him to make the transition to CC. :)

I am sure Scott mentioned somewhere that S drive had no email compatibility

And if you are CLOSING down the hosting, can the email instead be dealt with by the url's regestrar

I know it can be done with domainmonster.
Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, Sales from CC site exceeding expectations taken me out of semi-retirement

In this case I would have kept my domain with email accounts where you have it or - if you don't want to stay - move the whole domain to another web hosting company and re-create the email addresses there. Then I would have created a different domaine name for S-Drive, e.g. callendaledesigns.net, and used "www-forwarding" to automatically direct links to - and requests for - callendaledesigns.com to callendaledesigns.net. This way you would have your new S-Drive pages and your email addresses fully operative with no extra worries.

I only have one of my own to deal with, but my client has 3. Her current hosting plan is $25 per month :o - way too much to pay for a few email addresses. My hosting is $10.00 a month, so I don't want to keep that just for one email address.
Guess I've got some shopping around to do :/

So now the question that needs to be asked...

SCOTT!!! - When can we expect to see a S-Drive/Stream solution? Nothing fancy, just the ability to have an e-mail account (or a hundred ;)). Of course I'd also like to see CC offer the ability to register/renew domain names so I won't have to deal with the likes of (insert name here) boneheads... Want to see this become a "one stop shopping" experience, for hosting.

We will never have anything to do with email. The support for that would just be astronomical. ;)

Use Gmail hosted email. It is free and works amazingly well.

As to domains, that we will have ready actually very shortly.

Is 'very shortly' different from 'soon' or 'soonish'? ;) Which is likely to happen first?
