Default views when starting CoffeeCup...
Hello,
Could anyone tell me if the default way of viewing files can be changed inside CoffeeCup, and locked onto? I have tried 'Preferences' and 'Views', to no avail....
I like to view files in 'List' view, and have to make this change every time I run CoffeeCup, as it doesn't lock onto the selection and save the changes when I exit the program...
Can it be done?
Thanks
Peter

Which CoffeeCup program are you referring to? We have quite a few different programs and some are more configurable then others.

Sorry, I should have said that, its The CoffeeCup HTML Editor, latest release.

Are you asking how to change the view in the 'resource browser' or through the menu file>open, or something else. A little more info is needed.

Are you referring to how it defaults to the "projects folder"?

I am so sorry, I have not given enough information.
Right,
Its the HTML Editor, on the left side of the screen are the various tabs, my default tab is
'My Computor', and the HTML Editor always starts up in a specific folder of my choice.
However...... The default way of displaying the files down the left hand side of the screen,
is in 'DETAILS' view. I would like this view to be 'LIST' view.
I can select 'VIEWS' from the top menu bar or right click for the 'VIEWS' menu, here i can change the setting to be 'LIST VIEW'
Is there a way i can make the LIST view DEFAULT?

Interesting, I just loaded up the HTML Editor and the views actually don't seem to affect anything at all. Mine seems to be stuck in List view rather than Details view. Changed it to all the settings but it didn't affect anything in the file tree list at all.
Hello Jo Ann,
That's odd.......... Changing my view settings does affect the way everything is displayed,
however its never locked onto, and every time I load CoffeeCup HTML Editor, I have
to select LIST view again......

If anyone can say if there is somewhere to set startup defaults, that includes the 'way files are displayed on the left side, Thankyou.
For now I assume its not possible
