Changing text color in an html...

I have a site I'm rebuilding for someone and I have an html element with a copyright information script that changes the year automatically.

It has black text and I can't get anything to stick to change the text to white. I've tried inside the html, in the style sheet files and in the code after export.

If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears and thanks for any help.

Ernie, check out this footer component I created some time ago. I gave the html element a class name, and then added some styling to it in the settings.
I made it with RFF, but the same can be done in any of those responsive builders.
