I have a frameset with 2 rows and want to make the top one semi-transparent so as the bottom frame scrolls, you can barely see it in the background of the top frame. I usually can find some fix/workaround, but I'm stumped. :P

All you need to do is put a background image on the top that is semitransparent to allow the lower area to scroll under the top area. Whatever image you use as a background can be made transparent with a good graphics program such as Photoshop, Photo Impact, or the free GIMP.

This sort of effect can be achieved with CSS, but not with frames. The scrolling content of a frame doesn't actually scroll behind the frame above or below it.

If the page you're working on is up, let us see it and try to find a solution.

Cary,

I missed the fact that the frames don't do what he wanted.

Do you remember helping me with one of my issues? http://www.roberson-family.net/names.php is an example of what he wants to do, and instead of using a solid background on top, just use a semi-transparent background image.

Yep, it would be something similar to that.
