@ barry, do you have a URL for the site, so I can have a look
yes, the advanced text will fix it because it turns the text into images that display the same..
however, you need to add the alternate text if you do that for search engines to see it.
The blog is coffeecup blogger, just open it and add posts to it or
open the blog.txt file and add a new post

Here's the one I started last night (not live, this is from VSD preview), the page is an image and the background is a different image:

And - don't go nuts with the advanced text! It's fine for a few headers, special announcements..., but web safe fonts are easy to read, your text remains searchable, and if someone has images disabled on their computer - they can still read your info.

This method actually places the css inside the body of the page. You want to make sure styling appears in the head of the page, so use the menu "Edit" > "Edit Header..." instead.

Just wanted to add, in case anyone might be wondering, the use of the black background isn't necessary. It's just that the specific individual I wrote this for wanted a black content area.
