@ barry, do you have a URL for the site, so I can have a look

yes, the advanced text will fix it because it turns the text into images that display the same..
however, you need to add the alternate text if you do that for search engines to see it.

The blog is coffeecup blogger, just open it and add posts to it or
open the blog.txt file and add a new post

Here's the one I started last night (not live, this is from VSD preview), the page is an image and the background is a different image:

No more solid color backgrounds for me!

Barry there is an interesting article on web safe fonts here:

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Barry, you can get blogging info and how-to stuff here:

http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/flash-blogger/

And - don't go nuts with the advanced text! It's fine for a few headers, special announcements..., but web safe fonts are easy to read, your text remains searchable, and if someone has images disabled on their computer - they can still read your info.

Or, you could check this out....

Thank you all, I have to leave for a meeting but feel free to continue with the tips. I have been using VSD for a few years and still learn new tricks every day. Dave, One of my sites is www.marylandqdma.com. Talk to you all later on.

click on the page
when the box opens
enter some css

This method actually places the css inside the body of the page. You want to make sure styling appears in the head of the page, so use the menu "Edit" > "Edit Header..." instead.

I just went looking for this last night

From Cary:

...In Page Properties you need to select a solid color background, and set it to black. This will be the background for the page content area....

This works very well, and you can easily make changes if needed by going back to "edit header".

Just wanted to add, in case anyone might be wondering, the use of the black background isn't necessary. It's just that the specific individual I wrote this for wanted a black content area.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
