Hmm that's a loaded question there Ronald hehe.

First thing to know is:

Do you know how to create a website at all first?
Are you a coder for websites or are you looking for a totally visual type of editor (drag and drop) to do this with?
Are you familiar with the abilities of scripts, forms, etc. that would be needed for it?
Are you looking for something that you can create or something that's already out there created?

If you are just looking for something that will help do a Family Tree setup, check out http://familylobby.com as they have a family site (free last time I checked it) that has a built in family tree system. I messed with it a little bit, but I'm not a patient person so I didn't delve too deeply into it.

Let us know what you're exact needs are to better give you more information :)

You could build a family tree setup with the form builder. Your still going to need some knowledge of PHP and Mysql to bring it all together. With the amount of available scripts out there I would go with a ready made.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is a site I built for use in my job.(HTML Editor)

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

In all seriousness. I would and have actually set up my family tree with one that offered some free space. There are a few around and it is not just your immediate family but all the skeletons that rise unexpectantly.

I built a classified site from scratch to prove I could, took 6 months required 50+ scripts. What you are after would be tougher still, Not saying impossible but some task. The programmed graphics alone. The varying size of the page to display the people and the links to information about them.
I second Eric's advice. But if you think you can do it, do so, don't let anyone put you off.

If you are just creating a one off page with your immediate family one that is fairly static then the Visual Site designer will handle it and do a good job. It would allow you to set out the graphical layout. Try the trial version if that is what you are after.
