The article at https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … -property/ put me right regarding a mistake I made when first trying to get 'Using Display Rule' to work.

I don't expect the problem mentioned is the mistake I'd made: I'd assumed that the button to the left of the word 'Insert' related to adding custom rules, whereas none of the rules get added until that button is clicked.

If the article mentioned in the first paragraph above doesn't help, and if nobody comes up with a solution in this thread, contacting support may indeed be the best option.

Well, yes, haha! I belong to those who are not good at finding my bed within a reasonable time in the evenings.

You are saying that your form is not working with the display rules. What is happening? Is the bit that should only turn up if the right checkbox is checked not turning up at all, or is it displaying even if nothing is checked. If the former is the case, you may have done something wrong in setting it up. If the latter, Frank's reply would be relevant.

You could perhaps let us see the source file of the form, as I did with the one I made? I used Dropbox, which always seems to work.
I've also sent off a question to the CC staff about your WFB version and the Windows version. I don't really expect any problems, but The latest WFB was made waayy after Win 7 had been declared dead and gone.

Hi Lou,
Are you publishing this form and having the problem or is this when you do a local preview?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

After a bit of discussing your problem, Lou, I think there might be some problems unrelated to WFB that you are facing. You say that you are running Win 7 and Edge. I don't know how well Edge performs on an old OS like Win 7. Can you perhaps try previewing in Internet Explorer? And as I said earlier, the version of WFB that you have was created when Win 10 was ruling the web. There might be things that are not compatible anymore.
But I think you ought to upload your form, to get it out of possible old-times- trouble, and see how it performs online. CC's S-drive is an excellent place to try it out.

Thanks to everyone for your help.
I uploaded the form to S Drive and have the same issue:
Date Picker will not function and the Display Rule (Check Feeder, Checkbox doesn't display the hidden item FEEDER 1)
S-Drive link below, would be interesting to see if it works for you guys, i am going to try it on a Windows 10 machine shortly.

Maybe my Windows 7 machine just doesn't compile the back-end files properly, just my amateur opinion lol ?

I have taken your advice and tested on a Windows 10 machine using Google Chrome and it worked fine.
Apologies for the trouble !
Definitely some sort of incompatibility within Windows 7 running WFB using the display rules properly.
Appreciate all your help.

Hi again,
While you were testing your form I wrote and sent a wee message to you. Some of it apparently has been discovered when testing on Win 10.

I am using the Manual server setup on my i own file server for all my forms because there are over 63 of them.
So currently i only have the freebie S Drive.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
