URGENT - Mailchimp link keeps...
This is urgent. I am linking forms with my Mailchimp account and the link to every form keeps dropping out (ie, the API disappears), so my Mailchimp lists are not being populated and my clients are not getting their Mailchimp autoresponse emails.
Last week I went through five CC forms and the Mailchimp API was empty, and filling in the forms was not feeding through to the lists. I put the Mailchimp API back in every list, matched the fields and saved each form.
Today I did a test on another form and, again, it didn't populate. I look through all five CC forms again and in every single one of them, the Mailchimp API has gone. I have put them back in again but clearly something is badly wrong.
This is serious, I have three imminent major campaigns and I just cannot tolerate this issue. What is going on? This needs to be fixed and fast.
Thanks

I have never seen an API key just mysteriously disappear like that before. It sounds like the files are getting modified on the server in someway changing the settings.
What I would suggest is looking in the software and make sure MailChimp is setup correctly. You then export that form and upload the form files to your server. You can then verify inside of the form.cfg.php file and see if your API key is listed in there.

You're going to have to talk to me in non-technical words of one syllable because I haven't a clue what you're asking me to do. You are a VP of software, I am not. I need step-by-step layman's instructions.
"looking in the software" - what software? Mailchimp? CoffeeCup? What am I looking at and for and where? How can I see if "the software" is "set up correctly"?
"You can export that form and upload the form files to your server" - how do I upload? What is my server? I am using S-Drive. I have never uploaded anything in CoffeeCup, I just publish the form. I don't even look at it on S-Drive, I link every form to Mailchimp.
"You can then verify inside of the form.cfg.php file and see if your API key is listed in there". You might as well be speaking to me in Russian, I need really simple instructions - or else I need to give you access to my account and you do it for me, please (like the folks at Mailchimp do).
Again, from the top, please.

You said it was disappearing so by that I assumed you mean you looked in the software and saw the key was gone.
I think what you need to do is read this article here. Everything you need to know about using MailChimp can be found here at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … mailchimp/ Make sure to read over everything very carefully and follow all instructions.
Once you have done all that, just publish to S-Drive.

I've played around a bit and here is what the issue actually is.
I have CC installed on two computers. My .fb form files are all held in a shared Dropbox folder. When I looked on my laptop, the links to Mailchimp are there. But when I look on my desktop, they're not.
I've just done the following test: I created a new form on my desktop and linked it to a List in Mailchimp. Published it, filled in some data and the Mailchimp List is populated accordingly. When I move to my laptop and open the same form (from Dropbox), the Mailchimp API is (of course) not there, because it's a different instance of the app.
I put the Mailchimp API in and republished the form, this time from the laptop.
But the issue is this - when I move back to the desktop (where I originally saved and published the form) the Mailchimp API has gone. It's still working in the background but it will only show up on the computer from which the form was last published.
That is a fairly big operational annoyance because I can never be really sure if the API is there.
Are there any plans to make CC web-based so I see the same information no matter where I sign in from? Or is there a workaround?
Thanks.

That will certainly cause issues. If you want that sort of flexibility, each time you open the form you need to add your API key and select the lists you want it to work with as that is not stored in the FB file for security reasons. It is stored locally. That is why it is disappearing on you.

Right now there are no plans to make the software web based but you never know what we may do in the future.
