Trying out Lite - Page 1

I'm trying out WFB Lite now, after not being able to add a large field of fixed text ( terms and policies ) in WFB Classic. But I cant even get Lite to recreate what I had done in Classic, it's weird.

Here's what I had in Classic:

But lite won't even allow me to do individual radio buttons. What am I missing?

And no snap grid in this one?

These programs seem so basic, I feel like they're toys, not something serious I can use.

I may need to look at other software for this.

I was just using Lite and then tried to open an Open Office document and it wouldn't work. I had to reboot to get it to work again. Does lite screw up Open Office? Has anyone experienced that?

I'm using Windows 7 in a nice stable environment, and needing to reboot is EXTREMELY rare.

Intuitive, simple to use, does what it says on the tin, is CC all over :)

My technical mate, computer programmer would not touch them with a barge pole, at £30.00 a program he would rather develop his own, spend hours doing so, and have all the bells and whistles he wants.

Me, i use CC programs so that i can produce my amateur websites in a few hours without the need to read those huge big fat books he reads to learn programming. :(
Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, Sales from CC site exceeding expectations taken me out of semi-retirement

All programs don't meet the needs of all users. This goes for every program ever made. It's nothing new. At least CC gives generous trials to test before you buy.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

You can recreate that pretty easily, it may not come out exactly the same, but it will be pretty similar if you do it correctly. These "toys" sure do give you issues don't they :P Truly though, use the tools as they are meant to be used and you can do pretty much what you need. This form builder has absolutely no need for a grid because it's not based on the easiness of the Classic drag and drop, this one works entirely different (that's why it's not an upgrade, but a separate program). You need to position things using the padding and width precentages and play with those until you get what you need.

A few things will not allow you to do it maybe exactly like what you have, but there's a very high percentage it can be done extremely close and it's not hard at all, nor is it a toy.

I made your form here for ya and it took about 10 minutes to setup. I am sure you may want to tweak it some, but for the most part, it looks great. ;)

I'm seeing some other ones ( won't mention here for ethical reasons ) that cost less and appear to do more. <sigh>

Thank you Scott, that was very nice of you! :)

I can make a few tweaks to it, and probably use it.

I see how it was done now, anyway. Thanks!

So I have what appears to be a very nice form designed now, but to upload it, I have to buy the software.

I've had problems with upload paths with a lot of this software.

If I register, will it save all the necessary files in a local directory, so I can upload them with ftp if I cant get the path things right?
