Hi bernard - a dummies guide to integrate with say Godaddy account would be a great start! I am sure I can then apply the settings to our webservers in house (3 of them). Alternatively a trip to the countryside to set things up here would be grand.

Based in Ludlow, Shropshire. Our business looks after the fulfilment of promotional handling for some of the worlds largest brands - new forms are created every month, we use S-Drive and 3 rival companies plus some permanent ones that host on our company domains that are with Godaddy. These are all of very short duration, some last as long as 1 week and others as short as 6 months (if that makes sense). As we have used up the maximum space on our W***o, J****m and are approaching the max space on Coffeecup, we need to have a more permanent solution in place.

Currently there are 70 live forms collecting data most have low traffic, but one receives upwards of 2,000 submissions each day. There was one form that burned out a server as a promotion went "viral" with 45 requests per second - your light bulbs are flickering 50 times each second. That was unusual and we now have chokes in place at our firewall and routers.

As I will need to upgrade at least 1 web server in our rack, it makes sense to point some client domains back to Godaddy if that is the most logical interim solution, complete the upgrade and put the security certificates back in place on our servers for client domains. It would be nice to have an idiot guide for this. Does that give you a little more information?

An interesting request. With that type of need for forms to be recreated often I would suggest that you seek a permanent person to see over it and handle the data appropriately. I would also consider dealing with one host for all your needs one that can handle the traffic. I believe Jo Anne would be a good choice as she has a lot of expertise.

You started this thread sounding like a complete novice but you seem to be well into the arrangements of quite a lot of data handling. Running your own server has is own pitfalls. Hosting can be quite affordable even for large bandwidth. Do an estimate and say talk to CC you may come up with a deal for a particular need.

One form can be the theme for another with changes to setup and graphics, saves time.
