Seeing the form on web page before...

Good Wed Morning All,
I would love to know how to see what a completed form looks like on completed website contact page. Placement of the form is critical. Also, I need to see if the form actually fits the space on the contact page or will I have to move things around. I am using Xara Web Design 10 Premium. I am using Blue Host as my hosting company and found out I could upload the form without having to use "FileZilla". I was told my Blue Host account has a means of uploading the form files. So now, my concern is being able to actually import the completed form on my webpage. Is anyone using Xara as a website building service? Please help me figure this out. Thank you all.

Hi musicmanbob,

You should be able to upload the files to any server that meets the following requirements:

Using Your Own Server
Web Form Builder has been verified to work on the following hosting providers: GoDaddy, Yahoo, Tilted, A Small Orange, 1 &1, and Hostmonster. If your hosting provider is not listed here and it is working, let us know so we can update the list. Most likely, your server administrator has all the necessary stuff to run your web forms flawlessly, but here's a breakdown of what you need:
PHP 5.3 or higher
cURL extensions
PHP sessions enabled
PDO Module Installed
If you are not sure if your server has these items enabled, contact your hosting provider and they will be able to assist you. For Windows servers (not supported), you must use IIS/7.5.

I have a working form on several of my websites you can find it in the signature of this post.

Hope this helps.

I use Bluehost and the Form Builder works flawlessly for me.
To upload without filezilla log into your cpanel and scroll down to the File Management section and select File Manager.
From there select the Document Root for: for the domain you wish to work with.
Now you can use the tools across the top of that window to get your files uploaded.
Next place the script provided by the Form Builder into your page and publish. Preview the site and see if the files were uploaded to the proper location.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Good afternoon Mr. Kolish and Mr. Rohloff, I sure do thank you so much for your response. Mr. Rohloff your comments were particularly helpful due to their specificity. At 77 y/o and not tech literate I need exact instructions on how to perform a particular task. My hosting company is "Host Monster". Blue Host is their sister business I understand after asking. I've had Coffee Cup Form Builder for over a year and have used "Jot Form" on my websites because I never figured out how to import or drag and drop a completed Coffee Cup form onto the webpage I was working on. I've always been able to complete professional looking Coffee Cup forms, but was always concerned about whether a form would fit the space alloted on the "Contact Page" I was working on. I never found out how to put the form on my webpage so that I could see what it looked like prior to publishing. It would be so much easier if after completing the Coffee Cup form, the completed form could be imported or dragged and dropped onto the page. That way changes needed could be made instantly. Last night I decided to open up Coffee Cup then called Host Monster to see how to upload what was needed without having to use another (FileZilla) program. I will certainly go to the links provided for additional information. I want to thank you gentlemen for taking the time to respond. It's much more than helpful and I very much appreciate. I feel comfortable coming back if I have more questions. One thing though, why couldn't this form been "drag & drop" or easily imported onto a webpage once completed?? Just asking. Thank you again.:)

It is easily imported onto a page. You do as Eric has suggested. Export the form manually then upload those files to the root of your server. Then you take the code that form builder gives you and place that on your webpage where you would like to see it.

If you want a form that fits to whatever screen size its being viewed on just use one of the many responsive themes they have available.

I have an older tutorial showing how to add a web from to Responsive Layout Maker website. These steps can be applied to any platform that allows you to add code to it.

Hope this helps.

Mr. Rohloff I have a few questions if I may sir? In your instructions you mention to select the "Document Root" for the domain I wish to work with. Remember, I have not published the website yet. Is that the domain you speak of? Next, you mention to "Place the script provided by the Form Builder into my page and then publish". Can you be a little more clear here sir? Finally, you say, "Preview the site and see if the files were uploaded tot he proper location".

Now, I sure do want to comment on your excellent work with websites. I went to the link for Esman's GreenHouse and was amazed at what I saw. It was indeed beautiful and gifted work. What web program do you use if I might ask? Your work is outstanding sir.:)

I'm not sure if Host Monsters Cpanel is setup the same as BlueHost.
You may want to consider using Coffeecups Free Direct Ftp.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Good evening Mr. Rohloff,
As a matter of fact, the Blue Host and Host Monster's CPanel are said to be set up the same. So any additional information you can share regarding how you would set up and upload the Coffee Cup form would be most helpful. Your personal site used for testing is awesome. Some day I will be able to set up something as beautiful. Finally, I thought there were some restrictions on the number of websites/emails that will be permitted if I used Coffee Cup's Free FTp or am I wrong? Thanks again sir for your continued help.:)

Good Friday Morning Steve,
I did finally get to the YouTube link you provided and want to thank you sir. However, it does appear that the form on your demo is slightly different from what's on my copy of Web Form Builder. There is no Tab for "email notices". On my copy there is a tab entry that says "Email Confirm". I am confused because it looks as if there may have been changes made to the software. Is that possible? I am using Web Form Builder version 2.5. I have printed out the Coffee Cup Form Builder "Quick Start Guide" that was published September 11, 2013. Thank you so much.

Good afternoon everyone. As you know I use Xara's Web Design 10 Premium. I also purchased Coffee Cup Form Designer version 2.5 which I believe is the latest version. I've freely admitted I am technically challenged and have a difficult time understanding much of what I read here unless it's explained in a non-tech way. I am still having major problems getting the Coffee Cup Contact Form onto my webpage. Here is where I am now and here is what I am told:

Your form is almost ready to go. Check the following:
.(You've chosen to send a confirmation email to the submitter, but didn't specify where to send i or which template to use). What "TEMPLATE" is it referring to? I have designed several very good looking forms. Is the statement referring to one of the Forms I've designed? (Please select a TEMPLATE and an email field from your form to use as the recipient in the Confirm Email section of the Setting Menu). I just want the form to be returned to me after the person fills it out and hits the "submit" button.

I plan to use my hosting program "Host Monster" server to host my websites and website forms. I've gone to YouTube and researched the help videos, etc, and have not found anything that was not too technical for me to understand. It is truly a shame I've had the Coffee Cup Form Designer for well over a year and still having problems. I admit that many if not all of my problems is my failure to understand the tech side of what I am suppose to do. What I am looking for is a Step By Step By Step of what I am suppose to do in the most basic everyday language I can understand.

May I ask if there is anyone on this forum using Xara Web Designer 10 Premium program and have been successful uploading this Coffee Cup Form Code. Jot Form is another Web Form Program used on the Xara Websites, but JotForm does not permit all of the parameters offered by Coffee Cup Form, nor does JotForm appear to provide a means of making their forms look as good and professional as Coffee Cup unless the monthly PAID version is used. I would be very pleased if I can get step by step by step assistance. I hope I've been clear and I promise I want to see a working Coffee Cup Form on my website contact page. Thank you again for your help. :)
