Padding on Right Hand Side - Post ID...

Hi Folks,

Apologies if this has been asked before. I have created a new form for a clients website, but why is there so much padding on the right compared to the left (I have all padding on right set to 0 but it does not seem to have an effect). It looks terrible!

I have tried manually changing some of the CSS to get rid of the extra right padding but with no success. I simply want there to be equal padding on both sides of the widest item in the form.

Anyone else experience this? Can anyone help me sort it?

Form can be found at http://www.dakotaitdesign.com/brendans/contact.html

Thanks :)

Add more padding to the left.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I'm going to assume you have this all worked out as the form looks fine to me, looks all left aligned for all the elements. Let us know if that's not the case :)

Marky, are you talking about the difference between the left side (around 30px between form elements and the border) versus the right side (60+ px between the text box/submit button and the border)?

I don't know what to do to change that, but if that's the issue, maybe someone here familiar with the FB coding could find what's causing the extra space around the message box (it looks like it's left-positioned inside of a larger container –per Web Dev Toolbar in FireFox).

The padding on the right set to zero will do nothing if there's nothing being forced to slide into it. Increase the left padding now and the message box will be forced over. You can do this in the form builder. You won't have to manually edit the css.:)

Hi Guys,

Apologies for the delay in getting back about this. Altering the left padding sorted my issue of the huge space on the right hand side of the form elements. It looks more professional now that it is even on both sides! :)

Aren't you all a great help around here :D

Thanks as always!
