In the radio buttons options, we can select any of the options to be "checked" by default.
Is there a way to remove the default check mark?

I would think that would defeat the purpose of a drop down. If you need a value that means nothing then enter an option that means not applicable to your options list and set that as the default.:)

I would either use a drop down or radio buttons for this. I would suggest you do as Eric suggests and just make a N/A option so there is not one that is selected.

Or...

You could make a 4th choice and then hide it once you export the form via the HTML.

It does not remove in a radio button element.

Why no option for empty value. It should be set default or none.

What if I don't have it required and they don't choose something? Then I get a selection even though they did not choose one.

All other form programs have a blank option. I have used many Joomla and stand alone form programs.

Yes drop down is an option but they don't see choices up front.

Seems like a simple option that should be available.

Specifically, I use this for a preferred contact method. I guess a dropdown is fine. Just never saw a no default checkbox before.
