Did not realize what I had done until it was too late. Under the notification tab, in the settings, I was having a problem with getting the notification to display in an email the way I wanted it to. So..........I clicked on the pencil and did some editing. I clicked on "save", not realizing that I saved it for that template. I thought I was only changing it for my project. What I edited, did not help my situation. However, since I did not save the original code, I cannot get back to it.

I now have two submit alert smooth templates. Cannot recall if this is normal, or if one of them is the one that I altered. If one is the altered one and one is the original one, I will figure things out. But if not. how can I get back to the default template?

Re-install the software and that will bring the default templates. But yes, those are global so be careful there. ;)

Here is what I am having a problem with. This is at the bottom of my notification email:

Looking good? Then let’s keep going. In case you need to contact the person that submitted a form, drop him or her an email at the address submitted: [ insert form builder variable for the email input field ][Links to mailto:%5Binsert%20form%20builder%20variable%5D].
— Your boss

This is in the confirmation email:
If you need any additional information, don’t hesitate to contact us[Links to contact_placeholder].

How do I eliminate the code at the end of these 2 items?

You can select edit with RED or edit code at the bottom of the setup on that tab. Select Edit with code if you don't have RED.

Do not have RED. When you are suggesting "Select Edit with code if you don't have RED", are you referring to the "pencil" icon at the bottom of the notification tab? If so, that is how this whole thread started. I edited that code in an effort to take care of the extra code.

To stop having this issue (which I do hope they address in a future update for those of us that are not used to this type of setup), you need to load the theme you want to use and at the top give it a new name.

When you first open a theme it's called whatever the default name that CC gave it, change that to your choice of name and then it will not overwrite the default code.

You can just append it with -My Style or something too, you don't have to alter the name completely and that will help you know which theme was the original default you took it from as well. :)

I will give that a try. I appreciate the input. Seems like this whole thing is something that should not have to be dealt with. I know of nothing else that CC makes that requires tampering with the code to get things to display properly. As you said, maybe in an update.

The basic functionality that WFB has is still there. We just added more features. If you don't like the RED integration, you can simply bypass that all and just use it in the way it has always worked. Just click the + (not pencil) icon and select Add Custom HTML Template.

You might also want to read over this article as it shows you how to use all features.
