Can someone, particularly knowledgeable in programming, perhaps instruct us as to how we set up our websites so that there is no data about the calendar stored in the cache of browsers?!?!? this way we wont have to instruct our viewers to refreash our pages or add the trecherous refreash on load instances . . .

koodos to someone who can show us the light . . .

I am also having a hit or miss time with the web calendar. Sometimes the dates show correctly, sometimes they don't. If I resend the xml file, it works - for a while anyway.
For example, the 5th through the 29th of July should all be in blue. Sometimes it moves the active dates to June, which should have none. As I said, resending the xml file will correct things. Here is the link:

This is a new, registered version. If it won't work, then Coffee Cup should take it down.

Please open a support ticket Linda before you say we should take the software down. At least allow us to try and help ;)

I've opened a support ticket on the same and recieved a "we're working on it" response . . . which seems has been going on for some time according to forum posts . . .

there has to be a work-around . . . i trying to figure out how can we eliminate the cache for just the calendar files and not the rest of the files on the page? i believe this would be a sufficient solution . . . although I not capable of this just yet. . . it does seem to be an on-load issue and refreshing is what solves the issue . . so i may be backwards in my thinking . . . but . . .

I see Linda you went the terrible META refresh . . ick . . . nothing more annoying than not being able to back out of a page . . :P . . IMO . . . and refreshing all items on a rural connection is not always good . .

Cheers.

Isn't this due for an overhaul?

Mark
There is a message from Scott in the calendar forum on 19th July
"Web Calender is actually getting a complete re-write and you will now have HTML output options. The software itself is actually finished and we are working on the output customizations. As soon as SCC Pro is released, we will open this to a beta with our users. Monitor our Facebook page for public beta information."

I have had the same problem where events are blocked and only show properly after a refresh, I have set up an auto refresh as suggested earlier on one of the threads that works fine, but that is not the point.

It would appear that there are many folks stilll waiting to resolve the problem and CoffeeCup are either not able to sort it or don't want to sort it. I have been a CoffeeCup fan many years but going by many posts on here where customers are not happy, would indicate that cracks have started to appear.

I think I will hold back on that new HTML editor until I know there are no problems.

Alan, I think you skipped over Dave's post from yesterday. ;)

Also, what does the editor update have to do with Web Calendar?
