Using Paypal with Form Builder

Until CC makes this redundant I have a method that uses a form and radio buttons as selection for items to buy. When an item is selected and the form submitted the client is taken to a page with a buy now button to complete the purchase.
Anyone wanting to test the system contact me at http://inkmon.org/contact.html I am still tidying it up. I will zip up the form and the script I am using. It should work with as many Radio buttons as can fit on a page. It is quite flexible. I am having fun with this challenge. It will not run on S_Drive as php files are not allowed.

Remember this will be redundant as CC do say they will address a payment method and as they control the output their method will be streets away from what I can achieve.

Well to see it working go to http://inkmon.org/Test/index.html You can go right to the Paypal window then exit. I am not suggesting that you purchase one of my great utilities. Obviously it is a free country. ;)
I used the index.html file created with WFB but I shall pretty it up and embed a form in my payment page.

The script is modifiable to suit any setup. I could create a GUI to go with it but that will be a waste if CC are going to do the same thing. I am not in competition. For my use I only need one version. the one you see here.
I know programming is a strange hobby but I see it as an art form and it is the finished product that I see the beauty in. The way it looks and performs. The assembly of known bits to get them working in harmony . to creates something new. Those of you who compose music or prose would know that feeling.

So there it is for the taking I will give you all a couple of weeks to get a copy and help improve it.

Glad you liked it, There were a number who tried the form. Mostly sent garbage but forgot their IP is their address. After I test a address I will send a zipped up set of files with some instructions. Still I will help someone in setting it up.
Anyway as I said it is there to try. One thing with the WFB whatever is designed can easily be adapted once the payment option does arrive. I use the reply to kick start the php script, at that time the csv file is added to and the selection made. All pretty straight forward. I could interrogate a sql database but that is definatly on the back burner.
My next step is to create a nice page to insert a better looking form in and slot it into my site. It will not be a waste as I can redo the page when CC's version comes available. I do use Buy Now buttons on my site but using a form like this seems a better way to go. My site pays for my internet use and hosting and being retired a pension does not go far.

You should have the script now. I will help you get it working if you wish to proceed. Quite a simple method you will find.

Ahh! that is due to the fact that the script (PHP) is not part of the form but is totally independent. If you wish to try it yourself use the contact info above. Looking at your profile this should be a walk in the path for you. I like your site by the way. Clever use of the brush.
My system is only useful if you have a few individual items for sale. Looking at your site a contact form is your best option.
However if you want to put it in your toolbox you can but I will need an address to send it to as I did with SirAGE.
I am presently working on a better form to embed in my purchase page. I jumped into VSD a bit quickly and need to tidy the site up somewhat to reduce my bounce results.

I am in the early stages of building a new web site to sell items on the web. There will be around a hundred different items of stock for sale. I have to get a merchants account to take credit card payments. I have already purchased the site from a provider around Christmas time Netfirms made me an offer I could not refuse so I have had the domain and site since then but it has been there sitting and waiting for the web site content to be uploaded. Guess that I will be trying to sell those items worldwide instead of just local as in the painting business.
I have been thinking about doing this for a couple or several years so I am kind of putting it all together slowly.
Have had my painting company web site for about 6years and have never gotten a painting job from the web site. In its 6 year history there is no case of a customer doing a web search and finding my site and then contacting me from that search initiation and then ordering a paint job. Have not been contacted for a free bid. So I am kind of trying to get the painting web site to work before launching into an entirely new endeavor.
The two occasions in the past where strangers have contacted me by the phone or through email the first time they had gotten my email address off of my van seeing the sign on my van going down the road and I got a job from that and the other time the customer emailed me and they had been introduced to the web site through an ad on a bulletin board at a cummins tool store.
Am looking forward to having a customer do a search find me on the web and contact me and then ask me to go and do a bid.

Greg best way to get your website found in my experience, is NOT TO BUY ONE READY MADE

Use VSD or SCCP or similar and then get some help in here from forums, rather than paying someone else to do what you can learn to do yourself with a little help from your CC friends ;)

I would be intrigued to know what this great offer was

for a simple 100 product shop with SCCP you could probably host with one of many hosting companies for about £100.00 all in if you buy 5 years in advance (ie 20.00 per year)

One off payment for SCCP

Free SEO etc compliments of forum
