Did anyone find this utility OpenPage useful. I made it available to launch a website or page I was working on in VSD. It was a Christmas gift from me. There were nearly 100 downloads but no comments. I create lots of different utilities and often wonder who uses them and for what. I removed the link as I stated in the post.

It is a hobby with me and my site already pays for my internet use so simple utilities like OpenPage I just give away. For those who did not get their copy. It opens a set page without having a Browser active. It uses the default browser. I use it to check a site or page online after publishing it.

I expect that a later upgrade to VSD will probably do the same thing, at the moment it points to the S_Drive site.

I tried it and it worked well.:) I keep a browser open pretty much all day so for me just hitting the refresh button works fine.:) A button to do this in VSD would be handy. Did you make a suggestion in the VSD forum?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Glad you liked it. Yes I did suggest it. I do not like to push my software on forums but thought in this case it would help. It is pretty easy. I use Rapidq a simple form of VB. There is a forum and a great bunch of members there too. All programs are easy if you break them down. Trouble is it takes many hours for a large project.
My largest was a production Motor tester in C took 4 months straight. It is not practical for one person to take on a project like VSD for instance. I admire the developers at CC would really like to chat with them. I expect they are chained to their workstation and fed coffee and biscuits.

It really is all a hobby with me as is my web site building. I use Autohotkey to manipulate programs VSD included. Check out their site and meet some real brilliant minds. They developed a language to beat people at online games, but it progressed from there and can do anything VB can and better with less code
!z::Run, %A_WorkingDir%\MyApp.exe
This one line will start one of my apps with a alt z key press

Check it out and make programs do what they should have been designed to:)
By the way Happy New Year it is 2012 here now

I have a visual basic program that I wrote for Excel. It's specifically setup for greenhouse production. Many hours that probably add up to days and then ultimately weeks then months spent getting it to function with lots of conditional controls. It's a little bloated but works perfect for our operation. I can't imagine the amount of man hours CC has spent on some of its applications.:)

Prism, I finally installed the download yesterday and gave it a try.
Thanks for sharing that – it sure is speedy :D
Very nice!

Prism, I'm curious about that programme of yours. I'd be happy is you could contact me through the first website in my signature and let me have a download link. I didn't have time over Christmas to do anything but slave over a website that I finally got off my hands last night.

The site of the first link is in Norwegian, but I'm sure you'll understand the word 'Kontakt'. ;)
Ha en riktig god dag!

Hi Inger Norwegian is not one of my languages I am afraid. I had enough trouble learning Strine.

Link sent. I created OpenPage then OpenPage2 it to preview quickly online, the pages I am working on. I found it best to have a shortcut in the quick launch bar. I also made it not to stay on top as it hides behind the loading page. clicking its icon in the lower bar gives it focus. Bit rough but I shall work on it a bit in the future.
Any ideas on it you can contact me you have my address, Win yourself the latest version. Creating a application is easy deciding on one to create is hard. That is why CC asks for ideas. Programming and web sites is a hobby of mine or a couple of them. Must be cold in your neck of the woods. We shall be getting 40c this week if a Southerly buster don't cool it down. Shame we can't swap warm air for cold. Air conditioners cost an arm and leg to run
