It would be a big help to me to get some opinions on these 2 home pages. One is the original home, the other (home2) is per client's requested changes.

Original home: http://flipple.coffeecup.com/index.html
Client version: http://flipple.coffeecup.com/home2.html

The award icon on the original home page (bottom right) links to the home2 page.
Also, please ignore the bad quality photo on home2 – it will be replaced if we use that page version.

So, nose around and let me know what you think! :D
Thanks!

I think there should be more emphasis on the child photos and less on the you tube video. The unhappy child gets my attention first since I've been there done that. After I check the photos I'll watch the video for more info. Catch the customer first, inform them second.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

 I had the video at the bottom right to begin with (it just demos the same thing as the 3 bottles), but was asked to move it to the top.
Then all the other changes started rolling in :P I think the home2 version has gotten off track.

Yep same here, first one definitely looks more professionally setup.

I like the 1st layout better, however, what caught my attention was when I first opened up the second layout, the picture of the three water bottles caught my attention. That picture says it all. Maybe you could have the three water bottle pic up at the top of the page faded a bit? Just a suggestion. Layout 1 is more of a professional feel.

The water bottles used to be at the top right, until the client asked to have her video up there.
Does anyone think the first one is too wordy? She asked me to put everything in bullet points, except one brief paragraph (on home2) 'cause she thought the first one involved too much reading

Thanks, everyone! More opinions welcome.... I want more "ammo" before I talk to her again :D

I like the first website better paintbrush, but I looked at the old website(gag!), and I like yours even more knowing VSD beat out Drupal!! :) Makes my day!!!

Thanks, James :D
I think that if I knew enough to be able to really customise a Drupal site - I wouldn't need Drupal
Between VSD, SCC Pro and a Stream on S-Drive, this will be every bit as functional as the Drupal site, but way easier to manage and update. And - the Shopkeeper plan is half the amount of what the old site is costing her ;)

Thanks to all for your comments! I sent off a side by side screenshot of the 2 pages with some notes based on the feedback I've received here. Hope it goes over well. I need to quit rearranging finished pages and get the shop done :P
