Is this new or did I miss something?

Looks like you missed all the news. It was last week, but when it first started out, it had a horrible background image that you could not remove at all. So many users freaked, they removed it about halfway through the day.

I guess they must be losing too many people to Bing or something? I go back and forth between the two a lot to see what's offered different for search results but other than that I like em both, and although pictures are pretty, I don't need all that frill to search lol

I have tried Bing a few times, but for me it is too difficult to use. The results are never as accurate as Google.

Bing must be the worst search engine I have ever seen. I only used it once and never again :/

I really don't like Bing, at all!
Why?
I never can find simple answers when I search for something. I am always getting caught up in some complex, hard to read thingy.
The results are well..... very varied
When I click on an interesting headline from their websites, I always get directed to a whole 'nother list of search results, instead of an actual article.
I don't even bother anymore.
That whole thing they did with paying people to buy stuff that was found in their search resluts was a complete waste of time and effort.
I know they are trying hard, and they deserve some kudos for breaking up the monopoly, but I think they have LONG way to go.

Plus the idiom "Let me bing that" doesn't sound as good.
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

This was enough for me to try it once then go back to Google.

It surprises me that Bing is even TOUCHING Google. I wouldn't switch from Google to Bing if they paid me. Actually, I take that back. I'd do it for $10,000 :-)
