Introduction:

I am(pause)James T. Kirk(speaking fast), capt. of the starship enterprise. I current have around 90 domains and 50 sub-domains. I have just entered a new sector of the galaxy called SSL. The life forms here are very friendly, but I will keep shields up for the presence of hostile AM's who orbit this sector frequently.

That will be all.

**pixie giggles from her perch in the rafters sending down a spray of purple pixiedust...**

Not all all surely? :P

Hello everyone - i've been about for a bit but i dont often turn visible - tho i can occasionally be tempted out of my nest by a nice juicy bit of php or sql - http://www.pixieplots.co.nz/forum/images/smilies/color_.gif

I run a web hosting/design company with almost 200 customers and about twice as many domain names to manage - wear barefeet everywhere all year round and dont go out much...

I code pretty good, but adding some CoffeeCup cuties every now and then are always a hit on customer sites...

Nice to meet you - do enjoy your stay :D

** giggles again and fades back into the shadows in the rafters **

Have fun
~ Fe Pixie ~

Ahhh Haaaaa, yep it's me, I'm black (BACK:), took a short hiatis after rising fro registerd user to senior advisor. I see not much has changed (that's good) during my absence. Hey fiPixie, wheres Jayns?

Well I'm just a novice when it comes to computers and web building. Never took a course or lesson in either, jusst sort of jumped in and got my feet wet (and all tied up ) but thanks to CC (and the forum guys), some people think I actually know what I'm doing www.dynamicspectrumphotography & www.gobigblu.com

Actually I'm a 65 year old semi retired school bus driver sharing a photography business with my son (never took a lesson in photography either). Actually the only things I ever went to school for is Chemistry, Jet Engine Mechanics, Industrial Electricity and School Bus Driver safety Training.

Hi Inger (Elk), yep I'm back, hey where is Adam? I see Kim is still here hi Kim.:P Okay, I could go on and on but I think it will suffice to say that CC is still the best and the forum guys ROCK:cool:

I'm an old English prof that is determined to enter in to all of this in order to help web-based students than do not have the ability to attend face-to-face classes. Blackboard software is fine, but some people need just a little more of a personal touch. Hence, the web site I am trying to build for all of the classes I teach.

If there is a word below "newbie" (I pick up on nomenclature rather quickly), then i am best placed in that category.

I am funding all of this myself in order to get members of the Flat Earth Society (most of the other faculty) to get on board.

I am currently playing with the Visual Designer, trying to figure out step one. I have conquered the FTP software and in less than sxity seconds.

The CC team has been extremely helpful, especially when I send in tickets with technical terms like "thingy".

Thanks for a great product and great support.

Ernest,

Welcome, and if you ahve any questions, just ask. There are many folks here that are willing to help.

We also use BlackBoard. That is one of the reasons campus browsers are stuck at IE6. There are other reasons as well. Wish our campus could afford to just get new database software that would all be integrated.

If any one would like a new computer let me know or need just a simple computer. If you want a reasonably priced new computer get on tiger direct site and get on their email deals. Look at the barebones kits if you have on old computer that you can use the mouse and keyboard; plus you will learn how to build your own computer. If you need help with this let me know I have some powerpoints I can send you that explains how to build a computer.

My name is Chad and I have been designing web sites for about ten years as a hobby. I am 30 years old but get told frequently that I look like I'm about 19.

Two years ago I purchased every single software that Coffee Cup had available at the time. I think it was called the big cup. The only programs I do not have are the ones that CC released in the last two years.

I have designed 3 sites using Visual Site Designer, Flash Firestarter, Flash Blogger, Google Sitemapper, Web Form Builder, Web Photo Gallery, Web Juke Box, Flash Website Search, and Gif Animator. The only reason I don't use the Web Video Player application is that it only gives you two sizes to choose from, so I have instead used the player at Longtail Video.

Here is the most recent site that I created in VSD:

http://www.disneysubmarines.com

I went to Disneyland once a month while the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage was being built, climbed over the construction wall (something I wasn't supposed to be doing) and took photos so that visitors to my site could see how construction on the Finding Nemo ride was progressing each month. I also took much of the video on site myself. I actually had a video ride through of the Finding Nemo subs on my site before the ride even opened (don't ask me how, I'll never tell!).

I make enough money from Google ads to pay my hosting expenses and buy myself a ticket to Disneyland each year to update the site. Besides that, I don't actually turn a profit on this site. But I am a big fan of Disneyland so I enjoyed building a site for fans of the Disneyland Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. DinseySubmarines.com is currently the number one fan site on the internet for the Disneyland Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

Now then Everyone
I'm Dave from Halifax Yorkshire England.
I have been using CC products for a short time having previously dabbled with Frontpage. When Microsoft withdrew Frontpage I hunted around the internet and came across CC. The CC products are great, easy to use and the support from both CC and the user support forum is second to none. With Frontpage you did not need to know html coding but since using CC I have learnt the basics of CSS and html mainly through reading a couple of books and using this forum.
I have created two web sites to date one for my local rugby club which came runner up in best rugby websites in England and my second attempt is for one of my relations who plays in a function band.

Thanks for your great support
