Hi all,

Just want to let everyone know that I am currently having sever pain and have been in and out of hospital the last week. Currently I'm taking many (way to many!) pain meds and most are narcotic ( jury still out on this).

Bottom line, if I type anything stupid ( more than usual) please forgive me as my mind is in a varying state of sanity and insanity. Hopefully I'll be back to normal in a month or so. You'll just have to put up with me as I just can't seem to stay away from the computer, even when incoherent. Good luck to all of us!

I am so sorry to hear that Lance. You take care of your self and try and try and squirrel away a few of those pills for when the in-laws come to visit next time. ;)

Into and back out of the hospital within just a few days, then severe pain? Could be a complicated limb break or a joint replacement, but other than that, sounds like an internal-medicine problem rather than one amenable to surgical repair. Care to say more? I know that this group will sincerely commiserate at the very least, and would solve your problem if they could.

Be sure to ask your doctor about narcotics' digestive side-effects, and control your diet and exercise accordingly, my friend. This is not trifling stuff.

So you're still better off than I am, since you expect to "be back to normal in a month or so"! ;)

Which reminds me...
...maybe you are somewhat like Charlie - VERY metaphorically speaking - in an episode of 'Two and a Half Men', where he describes the evening's events to his miserable brother Alan: "I lost $8,000 on poker, I have no idea where my car is, I threw up in my mouth three times, - and I'm STILL having a better time than you are!!"

Seriously, though - I really don't mean to trivialize - hope you feel better soon!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
