Can anyone recommend a few good books on HTML and CSS? I don't want to spend too much, and I'd rather have a paper version as opposed to a digital version.

Do you have CC's PDF versions. You could print them.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I will be getting that, and printing it. Thankfully it's only 42 pages. Any other good books?

Hi Simon - Being a 'bookaholic', I've bought way more of these than I really need :P But they've all been useful for me. Here's the ones that I've gotten the most out of:

Head First - HTML with CSS and XHTML by Elizabeth & Eric Freeman
Visual-oriented learning with quizzes, games, etc. to reinforce your learning.

HTML and CSS - Web Standards Solutions by Christopher Murphy & Nicklas Persson
Very thorough, includes a work along project website so you can actually see how the code functions, also has a companion website with access to all examples.

Bulletproof Web Design and Handcrafted CSS both by Dan Cederholm
Good for expanding your basic HTML/CSS knowledge. The Handcrafted CSS book also has a DVD included.

My new favorite:
CSS Mastery-Advanced Web Standards Solutions by Andy Budd
For me, the perfect mix of visual/text. Read it cover to cover, or use it as a reference. All code examples are available for download so you can try everything out as you go through the book. It finishes up with 2 case studies so you can see how everything comes together in 2 different types of websites.

Good for quick reference:
Sam's Teach Yourself CSS in 10 minutes.
It's a small book, so it fits in my computer bag - never leave home without it!
Each chapter is a 10 minute lesson on a specific subject, so it's really easy to find just what you need at the moment to keep on working.

I'll stop here
