As is true with almost every software program I have ever seen, Coffeecup seems not to have run the Help file for either VSD or HTML Editor past someone (such as myself) who has only moderate-level computer skills. Both documents seem very poorly organized and have no pages listing page numbers or an index. Decent organizing and editing would result in half the number of pages.

The text isnt the usual awful geek-speak, but really needs someone in management with initiative enough to ask someone who speaks decent English to go through and edit for someone who is only moderately skilful and new to the program. It just isn't that difficult!

I had high hopes for Coffecup but...just like everyone else.

Wow...

Aside from the lack of index or table of contents, is there a section in the HTML manual that is particularly confusing for you, I can try to clarify things.

What version and build of the HTML Editor are you using? Mine is 2010se build 365 and there is a glossary.

Hiya David Reed,

I don't think you're looking at the help files if you're finding them unorganized. They are PDF files with an entire table of contents which all consist of links directly to the locations of the title they are representing in the manual. Just scroll down past the cover pages and you'll see the Table of Contents, and at the ends a full Index section. If you aren't seeing these, then you're really not looking at the right files or you're scrolling past it all and missing it as I'm looking right at them right now for 3 different programs. This includes the HTML Editor 2010 SE which you mention above.

It's very organized, covers quite a lot of what is needed, and anchor links throughout the file make navigating the PDF very easy. The content covers the program quite well actually, so I guess what you really need to do here is tell us what the issues you're having are and maybe we can help steer you in the right directions if you're unable to find it in the Help PDF's.

P.S. Do make sure you're up to date on the software to see these newer PDF files as some of the older versions don't include them and have a different help system.

Real men don't use help files. And they don't admit that they're having problems using the program because they refuse to reference the help files. :)
