CC WHERE IS OUR FLIPBOOK SOFTWARE LOL!

Just kidding! I wouldn't want anything to distract the developers from the new version of VSD at the moment lol :D

Since I don't use VSD I don't really follow it news-wise, but didn't it just get a facelift not too long ago? As far as I knew, SCC Pro is the HOT BURNER project right now, of course they could be working on multiple programs, as I'm sure they can't all be on the same one all the time.

But regardless, you're right Chad, we don't want to distract them right now ;)

The developers are currently working on a new version of VSD to be released in the not-too-distant future. VSD gets updated more than other softwares I think because it it such a popular program. However the developers REALLY need to take a look at Flash Blogger. I don't care if they add any features or not, it's just glitchy and needs to be made more stable lol.

Hmmm, was just looking at http://www.page-flip.com/order/ and noticed they have an HTML only version, for one web site only, that's only $69. Of course it's called the "personal" version so I imagine you wouldn't be allowed to charge clients for it. But the professional version of the HTML software is only $149 and allows ten web sites... that's still affordable in my eyes. And the "corporate" version of the HTML software offers "unlimited" websites (instead of the nine sites that the regular corporate version offers you). If you visit the page which describes the HTML version it doesn't seem too different from the regular (expensive) version... does it?

Check out the demo that's on that page:

It's pretty awesome! I think I may actually purchase this!

Dang it! The HTML version isn't an executable file. I should have seen this coming...

So unless you want to have to program each page individually, you hafta get the expensive version, the "Publisher" version:

http://www.page-flip.com/products/pdf-publisher/

The more expensive version does exactly what I want it to do (I downloaded the trail). It's an executable file that simply imports the ENTIRE pdf file with one click and then you're done!

I am confused by what you mean here. I have that trial version and it seems to work fine. I was going to purchase it, which is why I want clarity on your concern. Thanks

You have the trial version of WHICH product? Do you know html/css?

Here is why I ask that question. The CHEAP version (HTML version) makes you program each page individually. You aren't opening a program and then clicking around while the software interface does all the coding. You are hand coding EACH page by yourself and dragging files onto your server.

The EXPENSIVE version (Publisher) is an executable file, so it does all the work for you. You don't have to code anything yourself, all you have to do is interact with the software interface.

IF you know html/css and don't mind taking the extra seconds to code each page by hand, then the HTML version will be just fine for you.

Personally, I have two 60 page documents to publish each month, so I don't want to have to do the coding by hand. Let me kow if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Sounds like the steep price for the program is worth it, in your case.

Actually, if you compare the cost of the expensive (Publisher) software to it's competition, it is REALLY cheap. Some of its counterparts charge anywhere from $549 to $1500... for the LITE version! Check this out:

http://www.inhousedigitalpublishing.com/products.html

If you also compare them to the dozens of companies out there that create and publish the flash page flips for you, the $299 one time fee is REALLY cheap. These companies claim to offer "free hosting", but it's ANYTHING but free. Some of these companies charge you per PDF document, while some actually charge you PER page to convert and publish your documents. Here is just ONE example of what I am talking about:

http://turn-page.com/online-interactive … /index.php

They don't publish their prices, but I inquired found out that they charge $500 PER FILE to convert and publish online for you! (You can get quantity discounts if you convert more than 5 files.) I will be honest and tell you that turn-page.com has TONS of awesome features (like SEO and statistics), plus you get the benefit of them doing the work FOR you. But when you compare what they charge to the Flash Page Flip software for $299, all of sudden it starts sounding very inexpensive LOL!
