Combine Web Form Builder AND Shopping...

could use a program that would be a combination of Shopping Cart Creator AND Web Form Builder.
I need the ability to let people do things link this:
Register for a function like a Motorcycle Rally. I need it to capture info to a SQL server like is done with Form Builder (where I can choose the fields like Adult Name 1, Adult Name 2, Child Name 1, Child Name 2, Child Name 3, Street address, City, State, Zip, Home Phone, Cell phone, Email).
Then also let it pick how many Adults to register at one price, How many Children at another price, and Select the different size T-Shirts they wish to order, and take them to Paypal for Payment. I need all of this data to go to my SQL server.

A Software App like this should be an asset to more than just me, unless I'm wrong.

It would be as simple as combining the functions of Form Builder with Shopping Cart Creator.

Actually if I understand correctly you can already do that. In your contact page use the html option to insert the web form builder code. Then upload the web form builder files to your shopping cart folder. It should work fine :)

The one thing you're asking for though is not possible. At this time there would be no connection to the cart system with any form you add to your shop, it can only be a separate entity with code you insert on a page. There won't be any connection to the cart at all.

There really is no capturing of any data at all with the cart creator programs. The payment gateways like PayPal and Goggle Checkout etc. are the ones that gather all the customer data so this information isn't able to be used for any form type things within the cart programs.

None of the customer data can be sent to any SQL servers via the shopping carts. The only way to gather that data is to add your own externally built form using something like CC Web Form Builder. It would not be connected to the cart at all.

You could setup a product system to gather specifics such as how many adults, children etc by using the Optional Field setups, just that you cannot gather any personal information or payment information, registrant names etc. You would have to gather that info separately in some other way.

I am trying to build a site for a florist, So your saying I could make a custom form ( deliver to, card message, delivery date) into paypal? If that is the case where do I start looking for this? :|

Sometimes all we need is a different perspective.

PayPal has a developer network area with a forum where you can learn to do all kinds of things with PayPal forms. Here is one page that came up with a Google search.

All of your suggestions are great. And accurate. The things that I ask for can't be done with ONE present App from CoffeeCup. They can all be done, but have to be done with 2 separate apps. The only thing that can't be accomplished, is the sending of the Shopping Cart order info to a SQL server. By a combination of both Apps (having all of the current features of both Apps), this would ALL be possible. That's why I've proposed this in the "Suggestions for New CoffeeCup Programs" section of the Forum.
And I believe that CC would do a great job of creating an App that can do this. They already have most of the code in place in the 2 individual Apps. Most of the work would be in combining both sets of codes.

I too need to add to my shopping cart fields for requested delivery date and time for catering purposes.
It would be nice to be able to do it in a simple way.

It would be great if you could use the form to add an item to the cart. For example, I have an registration system for dog shows using a lengthy form, one entry per dog. After completing the form, the user is asked if they want to register another dog or pay. If pay, they go to the cart and select the registrations and then pay. Linking the form and cart would be a great solution.

Hiya Gary,

If your cart is all about registrations and you're not selling things (even if you are and it's only a few things) you might be better off trying a form setup instead of a cart. The Form Builder now has the capability to do a cart type of system so you can collect payments with it now. Just a thought if the cart isn't the greatest solution for you. You can put this right on your website rather than having a cart then. :)

A form made with CoffeeCup Web form builder can handle payments, so you could custom design your form to gather the details you need and also process payment.

You could use Shopping Cart Creator in catalog mode to showcase your range of products and then collect orders via a web form with Payment processing. This is what makes Web Form Builder a bit magical :-)
