Cleaning registry did not solve the issue either, reinstalled older version 5.0 build 192 and it works again. I guess I'll wait for the next upgrade as this one is too buggy for me. Thanks for your help all.

I personally still think it has something to do with a 3rd party application affecting our software. Do you have another computer you can try it on?

If I get a chance I will try it on my home PC. Not sure why one version would work fine but another would be affected by a 3rd party app though.

Hi, I'm also experiencing the stalling issue with Sitemapper. I can scan one of my sites http://www.infolaca.com, but not http://www.travelconsumer.com. Sitemapper finds 33 URLs of 102 in queue and quits.

Since it works on one site and not another, it appears to be a software problem.

By the way, I had no problem with the old program.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have no problems here scanning http://www.travelconsumer.com

I let the spider run for about 5 minutes, but it still has 235 in the queue.

Sounds more like you have some sort of 3rd party program installed that is interfering with our program or you are possibly using a 64-bit system.

Or possibly a virus protection that might be interfering.

5.3 is locking up it seems because of the sitemap spider log.

here is the errorlog - when a url is posted to the sitemap spider log, this is when sitemapper stalls and crawls from our experience. 20 minutes for sitemap - We are using Vista 64

Thanks for confirming you are on a 64-bit system. I am sorry to say this, but the 5.x series of Sitemapper is not compatible with that platform. This is the reason you are seeing this problem.

Unfortunately there is no work around other then try running the software in Windows XP compatible mode.

I know you get asked this all the time, but can you run sitemapper 5.3 222 on my site and post the time it takes your group. thanks

One other thing, sitemapper stalled here for another reason. Our laptop went to sleep. When we woke it up, sitemapper 5.3 222 did not start up again. Our fault here. No sleep mode any more.

thanks

I didn't want to sit and stare at my system but it looks like it took over an hour to finish. The site from my side of the word responds pretty slowly. Had many timeouts.
