I'm not sure who added the text and image for you Daniel, and not sure who's dropbox account the image is linked to, but here's what they put inside the post so you would just add this to your post at the top of it :

*NOTE: The link in this post contains explicit content.*

I have added a space inside each of the image boxes above so it wouldn't show as an image and the text is just wrapped in a B and U tag which you can get by pressing the B and U in the edit buttons above the post area when you're posting. Hope that helps.

Eric anyone Hi,

What should be simple is not working. I will try to explain as accurate as I can what is or is not happening.

1. I created a sitemap just xml even though there is a home file that says both and seems it can't be altered. I'm assuming that is correct.

2. I edit everything I want and look at a preview and basically the preview is just the one home link for the both home file

3. I then go to upload and here is what happens...
When I click the upload button I am brought to an upload screen in that screen is a drop down for
server which has an addd edit function. My server is listed. I click it and then click add and the
server fields are propagated with server, username, password, port timeout and all of the areas
are automatically filled in and I have verified with my host that they are correct.

4. there are other fields here that are not filled in. Initial remote folder. initial local folder and
comment

a. First question what goes in these fields where do I find them and how do it get them into
the proper places?

5. Now also under the upload where it asks me for server I am also asked to choose your home
directory and there is a browse button. I click the browse button and I am brought to a screen
that wants me to choose my home directory e.g. where my website html files are located but there
aren't any files in the block to choose from, it is empty.

b Second question why are there not any files there and where can I find them and how do I
get them into this screen to choose?

c. Third question am I just doing something wrong and if so please tell me how to correct it

I have been at this for two days now tryiing to get it uploaded. Any help will be so appreciated!!!

TIA:)

I added the Note to his post... That way there was no question as to the content of his link.

If you site mapper is connected to your server you should see a list of files in that box not a blank box.
Who's your host?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Eric Hi,

My Host is hostgator. I verified with hostgator that all the settings are correct. Not sure of what to do at this point. I will verify again with them that the map is connected to the server.

Eric thanks I know this will get solved

Eric or anyone who can help Hi,

I've re-read the PDF manual to see if I am doing something wrong as to why this is not showing the files when i try to upload. I have a very small e-commerce site with simple navigation and do not see a need to have a sitemap on the site. Therefore under options in sitemap I choose just xml instead of both and I'm trying to upload that to my server but end up as I have posted with no files to upload when I click browse. Below is a paragraph from the PDF which talks about the HTML sitemap you upload to your server. So my question...

a. Should I be choosing both so I have the HTML files also.

"Keep in mind that whatever name you choose for your file will apply to your Sitemapper file (.csm)
and the HTML sitemap you’ll upload to your server. Although you can name your sitemap anything
you want, it’s best to name it sitemap. Additionally, the XML sitemap, which is submitted to search
engines, will automatically be named sitemap.xml. All right, now that we’ve gotten that information
out of the way, let’s get started!"

Again any help is appreciated.

TIA:)

Have you tried connecting to your server with the same settings in another ftp app?

You can use an external ftp app for now to upload the files to your server if you can get the built in ftp for site mapper to work.:)
