Changing Root Directory for file...

I design my sites on an online web building interface. The problem I have with the interface is that they don't offer ftp upload. It's a huge pain when it comes to situations like wanting to add a sitemap to my site.

My question is this: The root folder of my site is /storage/. I would like to add the sitemap to my site but SiteMapper assumes that the root folder is / (which I completely understand). Is there a way to change the root folder to /storage/ instead of /?

Thanks for any help!

All "/" still requires the root to be named like: "/public_html/". Unless I am missing something in your question all you should have to do is"/storage/", and it should work. :/
