That you cannot do. You will need to re-create your website with RSD. Don't be alarmed though, the process is much easier than you think. ;)

Learning responsive design can take a little time to master. But we have a bunch of articles on RSD to help you get more familiar with how this app works. Our Quick Start Guide is very helpful when getting started. We also have a new step-by-step tutorial which will walk you through transforming a static site to a responsive one that is perfect when you are just starting out. http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/1430

If you are a visual based learner, a new tutorial has been posted that breaks down the creation of a responsive page in just 5 steps. This article is unique as it includes 8 instructional videos. Check it out at: http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/1449

Thank you Scott!! I've already watched the tutorials so I'm excited to get started. I've also downloaded the trial...it's how I'm going to spend my weekend! :) (It's rainy & cold in IL anyway!!)

When you say, "We'll even give you the software so you can maintain the site once it's completed." - you are referring to me purchasing RSD, correct?

Thanks for the info & I'll be sure to holler if I need help! Sara

Responsive Site Designer vs VSD - Would you consider it what you see is what get easy? with no code to write? Is there a Flash component? ... I haven't been back in a while either and need to update our website www.comrep.com. Used Coffee Cup VSD, Firestarter, Webform Builder which was super easy for me as I like to tell people "I am just a salesman". Sounds like Responsive Site Designer is an evolution in that's similar or easier... Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Sam,
Something you need to think about:
Flash is out. Flash doesn't work very well with responsive site design, and most handheld devices have no flash built in.

RSD is not exactly as 'codeless' as VSD, but once you get the hang of it, it's fairly straight forward. Remember to download a trial and play with it for 3 weeks before you buy, so that you can decide if it is something you like to work with.

Thanks Inger good feedback indeed. No Flash will certainly save a lot of time although I do like the features it brings for desk top. I still have a W7 machine just in case I need to lean back on VSD. I need something that is real easy to come back to after not using it for 3-4 months as we have infrequent updates to the websit. Need to give RS a test drive.I like your site its very simlar in size format to what we need. - sam

Oh, the site in my signature? That is an old site, pre-responsive. I need to do something with it...

Not quite. Your hardest part will be learning to think "responsively" instead of having everything in an absolute, fixed position. The best way to do it (in my opinion) is to jump in the deep end. Start working on the site by using the tutorials and ask lots of questions in the forums. We're a friendly bunch here who like to help.

You don't have to learn any code. To do some advanced stuff, you can add code, but you won't need to.

As Inger said, Flash is out. I looked at your site. Using Responsive Content Slider (RCS), you can make a slider that has movement which will give a nice effect. (See http://www.coffeecup.com/responsive-content-slider/) I recommend, however, that you get used to Responsive Site Designer (RSD) first. They both work very similarly, so once you learn RSD, RCS will come much more naturally.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.
