Updating a site with RSD - Post ID...
Once we have built a site in RSD and want to update a page or image, do we need to re-publish the entire site as we did when we uploaded it the first time or is there a metod to simply update a single page like in the HTML editor?
I hope that makes sense!!

the whole project must be exported/published again especially if anything will have been changed to do with CSS settings and or the wireframe settings.
replacing an image or changing a couple of words can be done in a html editor then uploaded,, the problem there is that if ever you export the project file again ( & forgetting about the changes
So best to do it in RSD and export again

Many Thanks Wayan,
I assumed that would be the case but thought I might be missing something.
Thanks Again. Dan

I just export the entire site and then decide what needs to be uploaded.
I'll usually try to take note of the things that are changing. If it's just some text and no formatting changes I'll just upload the new html files. If it's any style changes I'll upload html and css files. And if it's any type of imported files I'll upload html, css and the associated file such as a jpg.
If I've just made a change to a specific image, let's say adjusted a logo but all filenames are the same and no style changes were made I will usually upload the new image file to my host and also update my RSD document. But in that case I usually won't do an export.
If I've made site wide changes and changed lots of images then I just re-upload the entire site.
For me it all depends on the specific situation and changes.

I usually work out what doesn't need uploading again, such as social icons, sometimes images etc, then I ignore them in the upload. I generally upload the rest just so I don't miss anything.
